I have always been very transparent in the past, and let you know when I did more editing than usual on a certain photo π But I thought youβd be interested to know what the usual βediting policyβ that I adhere to is! I DO edit things that SHOULDNβT/wouldnβt normally be there, like: -Bigger/distracting blemishes -The occasional stray hair -Bruises, sometimes -Use filters and artificial lighting that donβt change my appearance, but do add interesting color dynamics I DONβT edit anything that would change *what I look like*, or misrepresent my bodyβs actual features, or remove anything that actually belongs there (even if itβs unflattering): -Cellulite and other body textures -Discolorations -Unflattering shadows -Waist/hip/body shape -Stretch marks I donβt edit to try to pretend that I donβt have flaws. I edit because Iβm an artist, and the simple fact isβ¦ when I take a beautiful photo that Iβm proud of- but I have one red bump that I just *happened* to have that day on my otherwise smooth and shapely ass? It distracts me from truly enjoying all my hard work on the rest of the photoβs composition. Iβd rather remove it and feel like Iβm sharing a better, but still honest, representation of what I actually look like- than be unhappy with what I posted just because one of my pores woke up and chose violence that day. π π₯°
