I used to think I was more into TV shows than movies, but I've discovered I have a strong affinity for specific genres or tropes and it almost reverted that trend. I usually like suspenseful, behind closed doors kind of plots. They often end up being drama and horror oriented, even if this is not what I look for primarily. A few timeless classics: LOTR, Jurassic Park, Alien, Panic Room, Fight Club; and more specific things like Old Boy, Poor Things, Parasite, The Lighthouse... Anything Lanthimos, Eggers or Villeneuve release, I know I'll watch eventually.
I keep track of them on Letterboxd, which I highly recommend using if you're into movies. I have the same name over there if you're curious.
