I visited Italy when I was in the Navy in 2003. We docked in Naples which was still dirty. Some friends and I spent a day in Venice which was awesome. I thought the food was pretty good. Surprisingly the best pizza I had was in Spain.

Sadly, there will never be a line of dialogue in the series that beats āCunnilingus and psychiatry brought us to this.ā From Season 1. So if anybody is waiting for that one to be topped, tune out now. š

The Paulie actor was known on the set for always spraying peopleās mouths with breath spray before doing a scene with him. So they worked it into the script by having him spray the prostituteās mouth with breath spray when she comes back to bed. š¬ He was also famously obsessed with his hair, and wouldnāt let the hair and makeup people touch it.

Yes! Tonyās organization keeps its hands clean of the actual carjackings and the trauma inflicted on the victims, by hiring black people to do the crimes.

I love the freshness and relative subtlety of Italian food.

Two key themes in this episode have one thing in common: people lying to themselves. First, thereās the contrast between the reality of their reception in Naples and the guysā romanticized expectations based on The Godfather. Paulie keeps trying to connect with local people and is dismissed, even by the hooker who couldnāt care less about where his grandfather came from; but when Pussy picks them up at the airport, Paulie lies that he felt āright at homeā in Italy. Second, Carmela is having an inner battle about divorcing Tony, but lies to herself that itās her friendās marriage sheās worried about saving. āI know in the end you wonāt leave him,ā she says to Pussyās wife, but sheās talking to herself.
The other self-delusion: Chris saying if he had more free time in Naples, heād definitely go see the volcano.

The car explosion scene is my second favorite scene in Godfather. The my favorite is when Michael kills the crooked cop in the restaurant. I do rank scenes based on what's happening in the scene but more specifically how much a scene can catch me off guard and surprise me. I do not endorse blowing up women in cars IRL

Annnd we're done! Ok, first things first , Great reaction Sir! I knew you would enjoy the Italy parts. I look forward to hearing you talk about the various locations in your reactions. (Like an mini travelogue: ] ) And it appears you REALLY don't like Janice! Which I Love! Ya made me laugh Sir. TY. And ,I have mentioned it before , but the music they chose for this one was amazing. The vocal music used in this show , when it is , is always used for a reason. So yet again , another banger of a reaction Sir!! Can't wait for the next drop! Peace

I've gotta agree with you, man. You've probably spent more time in Italy than I have, but of the few months I there, the food ran anywhere from "okay" to "pretty good" with a few exceptions. Honestly, the best I remember ever eating while out of the US was in Singapore. The street food scene was goddamn phenomenal, even for a good ol' boy from Kentucky like me.

The car the black gentlemen stole, ended up with Tony. He's looking at a picture of it in the next scene.
